I WAS on the way home from picking up a Chinese takeaway, and I heard the bag rustle. Then I spotted a pair of eyes looking out at me. They disappeared, then reappeared, then disappeared again. Terrified, I went straight back to the shop with the bag. “What the hell is going on?” I asked the shopkeeper.  “Don’t worry,” he said. “It’s just Peking duck.”
