You don’t only have to be in America to celebrate this traditional harvest festival. On Nov 24, many restaurants in Bangkok will get into the spirit of the occasion by serving up juicy roast turkeys, mountains of veggies, and devishly delicious desserts. Here’s a round-up of some of the best options on offer

Bourbon Street
BOURBON Street’s all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving Day buffet is legendary. Served from noon till 10pm at 899++ baht per adult and 450++ baht for kids under 12, the feast offers great food at great value. Among the many offerings are gumbo with turkey, roast beef in gravy, cured salmon, Italian cheese sausage, baked Virginia ham, shrimp bisque, fried mozzarella sticks, potato skins, prime roast ribs, lamb chops, U.S. Butterball Cajun deep fried and roast turkey, and much much more. Price also includes free flow selected soft drinks. The buffet will be held again on Nov 25 from 6pm – 10pm.

INJECT a little rock ’n’ roll into Thanksgiving Day with a celebratory meal at this international icon. The Bangkok branch has recently been renovated to have a cool modern look and a new outdor terrace. A Thanksgiving Day menu will be available for both lunch and dinner featuring Clam chowder soup, Roast US turkey with cranberry sauce, and Pumpkin pie. Priced 700++ baht per person. IT’S a family affair at this all-American restaurant where kids under 10 get their Thanksgiving Day dinner for free (a special children’s menu will be offered). For the adults, a four course menu is available for 1,299++ baht per person.

PLAZA Athenee Bangkok’s all-day-dining restaurant will offer a sumptuous spread featuring Tender-roasted Turkey served with rich gravy, cranberry sauce, crunchy brussels sprouts, and sweet mash potato on the side. Pumpkin and pecan nut pies are surely found in the meal. Dinner is 1,420 per person for adults and 600 baht for children under twelve.

The Marriott Café
THE JW Marriott Hotel’s Marriott Café is offering a Thanksgiving Day feast featuring traditional holiday favourites like pumpkin soup, candied yams, butternut, roasted ham, sweet potato, pumpkin pie, apple pie and a mouthwatering Turkey. There’ll also be freshly flown-in Boston Bay mussels, king prawn, baked oyster Florentine, US prime rib and much more. Prices are 1,850 baht for adults and 925 baht for kids aged 4-11 years. Dinner is served 6pm-10.30pm.
If you want to enjoy a Thanksgiving Day feast at home, the hotel is also offering a ‘Turkey-2-Go’ promotion which offers Roasted turkey with all the trimmings at 4,900 baht; Honey Glazed Ham with all the trimmings at 4,650 baht; and Roasted Australian Prime Rib with all the trimmings at 21,000 baht. Each choice provides enough food for 10-12 people. The deal is valid until Jan 1. Must give two-days’ advance notice.

THE Thanksgiving Day Buffet at Roadhouse Barbecue features 21 items with all the trimmings. Among the offerings are San Francisco shrimp cocktail, Roast turkey with giblet gravy, Traditional sage and apple stuffing, Honey glazed Virginia ham, Beef stew with stout infused gravy, Herb roasted salmon with lemon butter, cranberry sauce, and sweet potato casserole. The buffet is 895++ baht for adults; 395++ baht for kids under 10.
