ASICS to Launch E-Commerce Website to Strengthen its Leading Position and Reach New Generations of Runners
ASICS, a world-renowned athletic brand, sets to turn the world of running on its head while redefining the long run with the introduction of “METARIDE™”. Reinforcing its pioneering spirit as a leading designer and manufacturer of athletic products, ASICS hosts “ASICS METARIDE Official Launch” and invite runners and sports enthusiasts to join. ASICS brand ambassador Toey-Pongsakorn Mettarikanon is joining the launch to share his view on wearing the METARIDE™ when he was running in Tokyo Marathon while Nat Sakdatorn, Yo-Yossavadee Hassadeevichit and Arjaree Kiatfuengfoo from RongTaoSongKoo Facebook page also come to share their inspiration behind their run.

To introduce an innovation or a new product, it is an important move for ASICS to attract consumers. And in terms of marketing strategy, having more channel that allows consumers to reach the brand would help expand consumer base for ASICS. That is why ASICS has recently opened ASICS ICONSIAM which marks the brand’s biggest store in Thailand. It is located in an area that covers 249 sq.m inside ICONSIAM and it is the first and only ASICS store in Thailand that has both ASICS and ASICSTIGER available in one place. Through the concept of “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body”, this store is an important touchpoint for the brand that allows customers to come in and select from a wide range of products available inside the store decorated in an atmosphere that reflects the concept. And since its opening last year, the store is going very well.
With ASICS’ expertise in sport and an understanding of consumers’ needs, ASICS Foot ID zone has been created inside ASICS store to let consumers to analyze and select the right shoes for them under the principle of biomechanics. Customers can come in and have their feet scanned plus gait analysis to analyze foot movement. At ASICS ICONSIAM, especially, the gait analysis process has been done through a new version that makes it more precise than it has ever been. And as a result of that, customers can select the right shoes that perfectly answer to their needs which will ensure a more effective run.
Apart from launching the new METARIDE™ and expanding store network to a total of 10 stores by the end of 2018, ASICS will, this year, add its presence online through e-commerce website that responses to consumers’ behavioral change by introducing a new channel for the brand and its products that will reach more consumers. The channel will be ready to serve every ASICS fan from April 24. It is easy and convenient to use.
It is also compatible to use on every device, allowing everyone to have a seamless shopping experience with discounts and special promotions offered through the website.
