Visit Malaisirirat said, “To spread the joy and cheerful spirits during this festive season, “Beautiful Bangkok 2020: A Blossom of Happiness” is designed to invoke happiness and goodwill as if flowers are blooming inside the hearts of Bangkok residents. This year’s edition is slated to be even bigger and more spectacular than ever under our new unique concept of spreading happiness and goodwill like receiving the first bouquet of the year through the lens of cutting-edge Interactive Installation Art. Leading the installation is a highly creative team from Japan who enabled us to design and execute a sensational light and a sound show, which will project images onto Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard, the 60-floor ultra-luxury residential complex and a striking Ratchaprasong landmark with a distinctive design inspired by magnolia petals and international floral display.” Nattaporn Chevamongkol said, “RSTA has been very pleased throughout that the purveyors in this area have organised national-level events to promote the Ratchaprasong area as a landmark for New Year’s festivities with the biggest and most bustling Countdown in the country, securing the prized title as the ‘Times Square of Asia’. |
Our collaboration with Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard by MQDC has since help to diversify the beautiful scenery of the Ratchaprasong - Ratchadamri area by organizing the event Beautiful Bangkok continuously for the past two years. This year’s event is bigger than ever with a light and sound show combined with cutting edge technology to project images on a 60-story building. The event reinforces that Ratchaprasong is truly a landmark for unique economic opportunities with its location at the heart of Bangkok. The development of Ratchaprasong district as a hub that combines the best of retail, wholesale, hospitality, luxury residences and MICE in the Bangkok’s city center is essential and a vital step in transforming Bangkok as a city of the future. All of this combined together seek to promote a strong and powerful image of Ratchaprasong area and setting the stage for the district to be at the center of the global economic stage.”
Yuthasak Supasorn said, “TAT was attracted to Beautiful Bangkok since its inception as we were marvelled by the idea and commitment from MQDC to create a one-of-a-kind attraction to Ratchaprasong area and foster beauty within Bangkok. With this year, Beautiful Bangkok’s intention in spreading joy and smiles for the public remain the same. We are delighted that the private sector has risen to help promote change and public good. This event certainly helps to enrich Bangkok as a global destination especially during the festive season and annual Countdown.”
Sangravee Kositpaisal, Senior Vice President of Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC) said, “We try to differentiate Beautiful Bangkok every year in terms of presentation and how different artists based their interpretations. For the first year, we had a world champion team in ‘mapping’ to help convey the unique charms of Bangkok through the lens of a foreigner. In the second year, we wanted to get perspectives from Thai artists through colorful street art. Now in its third year, we look back to the core of what New Year celebrations is all about and that is the act of sharing happiness with loved ones like gifting them flowers. Flowers with their vibrancy are universal symbols of joy and care. They can be used to communicate love, hope and well wishes. That is why we have chosen this year’s theme to be A Blossom of Happiness to which we were able to work with a top Japanese digital production agency leading in interactive content to breathe life and transform these ideas into reality.”
