Tourism Authority of Thailand develops Creative Tourism District Project in 6 provinces which are Trad, Chiangrai, Angthong, Singburi, Phanga and Surin with the aims to design tourism products which can create new experience in each region and promote tourist attractions and communities to develop their tourism products as well as allows them to have initiative idea to develop products and services to hit the target which will lead to brand development of Creative Tourism District of each community. The project targets to increase tourism revenue at least 15% in average in these 6 provinces
Mrs.Sujitra Jongchansitto, Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Marketing of TAT revealed about this Creative Tourism District in 6 provinces campaign that “The main target of products and activities design under this campaign are divided into 4 groups which are 1. Silver Age 2. Gen Y 3. Power Women and 4. Family & Kids. This campaign offers tourism activities which satisfy each target group’s demand and needs with reasonable price that will trigger spending on tourism effectively. The outcome of tourism activities and products under this campaign derives from sophisticated process by participation of several section including experts in terms of tourism, branding, marketing, researching and customer experience designing. The target groups are analysed both physically and psychologically along with interviewing with locals, field trip by sample tourists and hearing the voice of customer (VOC), SWOT Analysis and in depth researching in order to develop and design tourism routes and activities which can create impression and valuable experience” Mrs Sujitra said. And at this moment, the process under Creative Tourism District in 6 provinces which are Trad, Chiangrai, Angthong, Singburi, Phanga and Surin has been completed and ready to open for tourists to gain experience. The campaign was officially launched in the middle of September 2018 at Central World.
