A renowned burger maestro Kristin Frederick stars as guest chef at 25 Degrees Burgers, Wine & Liquor Bar. It’s a culinary event guaranteed to make your mouth water! Kristin is no ordinary burger flipper. She went to Paris to study at Ferrandi, one of the world’s top culinary schools. Following her graduation, Kristin went on to work for Jean-Pierre Vigato at the Michelin two-starred restaurant, Apicius. However, the gifted chef decided to leave the world of gastronomy behind and open a food truck with the aim of inspiring a revolution in a city that at the time had no street food scene, and as a reaction against high priced restaurants. She uses her extraordinary culinary knowledge and experience to elevate burgers to new heights of deliciousness – tastes sensations using prime meats, high-quality ingredients, and the perfect burger bun. Accompanied by her creative salads and sides, she ensures each mouthful is unforgettable. |
From June 5-9, Kristin will create a unique burger menu with two starters, three burgers and one luscious dessert. The irresistible feast will include spinach salad with bacon vinaigrette, a fun salad that uses warm rendered bacon fat as the base for the salad dressing. The warmth partially cooks the spinach for a surprising salad experience.
Highlights include the sticky, sweet and smoky barbecue burger, the most popular burger at Kristin’s food truck in Paris. For those who want to try something spicy, the green chilli burger combines the cooking style of the American southwest and local Thai ingredients. Grilled mild Thai chilli peppers and onions, herbs, melted spicy cheese and roasted garlic mayonnaise sauce, finish this delicious East-meets-West burger.
There’s also the New York-inspired pastrami burger which is a mash-up of two very American cult classics; the burger and pastrami. It’s piled high with smoky cured meat on top of a burger, garnished with house pickled cabbage, secret sauce and Swiss cheese to honour the delicious pastrami Reuben sandwich.
Dessert lovers can end their meal on a high note with Kristin’s take on a classic American dessert; the Cobbler. It’s a crumble that adapted by using local fruit in the place of traditional apples served with ice cream a la mode and topped with some other surprises.
Additionally, our own Chef Sylvain Royer, Chef de Cuisine at 25 Degrees Burgers Bar will be creating five delicious side dishes from Potatoes USA products with American fries to complement Chef Kristin’s special menu.
