Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok’s Salathip authentic Thai restaurant presents a scrumptious “Live River Prawn” feast prepared by Thai Chef de Cuisine, Yannavit Theerasomboonkun and his talented culinary team, available from 22 January to 30 June 2019 at THB2,200++ per dish.
River prawns are considered as an exceptionally prestigious ingredient. Finely selected giant freshwater river prawns from Ayutthaya province, freshly cooked with a variety of local herbs and spices, will give diners a range of the finest flavours.
Salathip offers three different exquisite Thai dishes: Goong Mae-Naam Phad Char (Stir-Fried Live River Prawn with Young Peppercorn and Chilli) with the flavour of local ingredients, such as finger roots, Thai chilli peppers and lemon leaves; the royals’ favourite Sang-Wa Goong Mae-Naam (Spicy Live River Prawn Salad with Kaffir Lime) and Goong Mae-Naam Phad Prik Gue (Stir-Fried Live River Prawn with Chilli and Salt) with the scent of the fragrant components of a divine Thai dish.
Chef Yannavit’s signature dishes offer a different taste and feeling in every bite. Meals are served in the manner of Thai hospitality in the dramatic royal teak pavilions alongside the River of Kings. Guests will also be impressed by various Thai-style cultural performances.
