ROYAL OAK CONCEPT TOURBILLON CHRONOGRAPH OPENWORKED SELFWINDING

The Royal Oak Concept was first unveiled in 2002 as an avant-garde, 30th-anniversary tribute to Audemars Piguet’s legendary octagonal Royal Oak – designed by Gérald Genta as the world’s first luxury watch in stainless steel, with an extremely strong Alacrite 60 case and a dial-less finish, displaying the intricate movement it houses.

The revolutionary aesthetic lines of this piece can be found throughout the range, where the movement and casing of the various models are created from highly technical materials such as titanium, forged carbon, aluminium or white ceramic.
This year’s Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph Openworked Selfwinding, the first Royal Oak Concept selfwinding model since the collection's introduction in 2002, brings together an ingeniously designed chronograph mechanism, a visible peripheral oscillating weight in platinum, a highly crafted, hand finished movement and pioneering case aesthetics.

The watch features a 44mm sandblasted titanium case with glare-proof sapphire crystal and caseback, black ceramic pushpieces and screw-locked crown. The openworked dial comes with white gold hands, black 30-minute counter with white indications and black inner bezel with red transfers, fitted with rubber strap in matching red colour. Its movement is the selfwinding caliber 2949 with tourbillon and chronograph complications, and a power reserve of 65 hours.

This new version is also available with rubber straps in white and blue colour.
Discover Audemars Piguet at the Audemars Piguet Boutique on G Floor, Central Embassy.
