Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Khun Libor Secka as the new General Manager, effective 2nd September 2024.
A native of the Czech Republic with over 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality across China, Vietnam, and Thailand, Libor Secka brings a strong track record of leadership and delivering outstanding results. He began his career with InterContinental Hotels Group in Suzhou, China, in the Food & Beverage department, progressing to Director of Food & Beverage. In 2014, Libor joined Marriott International at Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers and quickly advanced to Executive Assistant Manager.
Libor then moved to Thailand, where he served as Resident Manager at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa for over five years, where he helped achieve several key milestones. During this time, he also completed an MBA at Cambridge Business School in Prague. He later returned to Vietnam to take on his most recent role as General Manager at Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa, where he led the hotel to significant achievements, including securing the No. 1 ranking on TripAdvisor for both the hotel and all Food and Beverage venues.
In addition to his professional roles, Libor served as Vice-Chair of the Business Council of Vietnam and helped establish the Next Generation Business Council for Vietnam & Cambodia, which earned an Award of Excellence from Marriott International in its inaugural year. His rich experience, boundless energy, and strong leadership make him well-prepared for his new role at Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa.
