Singapore International School of Bangkok (SISB) has announced the construction of a new campus in the city of Chiang Mai, Thailand. The new campus, Singapore International School Chiangmai (SISB Chiangmai) held a Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony on Monday, 20 June 2016, presided over by Mr Putipong Sirimatya, Vice Governor of Chiangmai Province, Thailand SISB Chiangmai is the first Singapore International School to be launched in Northern Thailand.
The new campus spans 5-rai with a capacity for up to 750 students ages 2 to 12 years old (Nursery-Kindergarten to Primary Level). SISB Chiangmai will offer the unique Singapore-UK curriculum in English, Chinese and Thai and the facilities will include a 25-metre swimming pool, indoor multi-purpose hall, canteen, library, music room, science lab, arts & crafts room, computer lab and hard court, with full completion expected by Academic Year 2016 - 2017.
