Bangkok (10 June 2025) - Vimarn Suriya Company Limited — the developer of Dusit Central Park, a world-class complete mixed-use development project under “Here for Bangkok” concept and the developer of The Residences at Dusit Central Park, Bangkok’s finest Ultra luxury residential development in Super Core CBD of Silom - Rama 4 – has announced progress on its Roof Park, which is set to open in Q3 this year. Spanning 7 rai (11,200 square meters) from the top of the 4th floor continuously through to the 7th floor, the park seamlessly connects to Lumpini Park with a stunning extending park view. As a contribution to society, the lush greenspace promotes public health and urban quality, offering a new benchmark for urban living and ecological well-being in the heart of the capital, establishing itself as Thailand's Largest Urban Roof Park.
Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun, Group Chief Executive Officer, Dusit Thani Public Company Limited, stated, “Dusit Central Park is preparing for the official opening of the Roof Park in Q3 of this year. With our management's vision, this project goes beyond commercial development: we aspire to develop a space that elevate quality of life and create happiness for society, Thai citizens, and global visitors, enabling them to enjoy their time in this area while truly meeting community needs. This led us to create an expansive 7 rai (11,200 sq.m) of green space as a large rooftop park within Dusit Central Park to enhance the quality of life for Bangkok dwellers. Moreover, this also marks the first time for Thailand’s prime real estate development sector that an urban center project has created such green space. The significance of creating a green space in the heart of the city extends beyond aesthetic enhancement, it contributes to social and environmental benefits by promoting public health and urban quality, while creating sustainable added value for Dusit Central Park. Furthermore, developing this green space impacts the country's image across three dimensions: 1) Economic dimension – serving as a project highlight that attracts both Thai and international visitors, including hotel guests, residents of the residential project, shoppers, and office workers, providing them with a peaceful, natural atmosphere for relaxation; 2) Social dimension – creating a green space for the community that are accessible to everyone according to their lifestyle preferences while fostering greater appreciation for nature; 3) Urban ecosystem dimension – through plants that increases oxygen production, absorbs carbon dioxide, captures and reduces PM10 and PM2.5 dust particles. Cascading waterfalls distributed throughout the Roof Park help reduce temperature and increase humidity, creating fresh, cool air while completing the ecosystem by providing new habitats for beneficial insects and small animals. This represents a visionary approach that addresses sustainability through creating quality urban ecosystems for everyone, making it Thailand's Largest Urban Roof Park."
"With our commitment to creating spaces beneficial to both Thais and international visitors regardless of their genders and ages, enabling them to utilise the area to its full potential, we have allocated the park with different proportions for various activities and purposes, including viewing points, social gathering areas, dining spaces, children's playgrounds, and an amphitheatre capable of hosting diverse activities such as art exhibitions, musical performances, and mini-events for various occasions. Its thoughtful design allows city citizens to design their desired lifestyle while providing beautiful hillside-like vistas from the 4th floor continuously to the 7th floor, covering a total area of 7 rai (11,200 sq.m). This creates unobstructed panoramic views through the 'extending park view' concept, connecting the green Roof Park views of Dusit Central Park toward Lumpini Park. When viewed from Lumpini Park, one can see the enlarged green space resembling a small hill amidst the urban high-rises, effectively providing additional green space to Lumpini Park as well," Ms. Suphajee added.

Mr. Touchapon Suntrajan, Principal and Partner at Landscape Collaboration Limited, the landscape designer of the Roof Park, said, “This space presented a new challenge because we had to design the terraces from the 4th floor to the 7th floor to connect seamlessly, creating undulating hills or 'Hill Zones' that appear to continue naturally with Lumpini Park without visible transitions, offering new experiences between nature and urban living with thoughtful plant arrangement. In developing and designing the space functionality, we applied the Universal Design principles and integrated diverse concepts: 1) Inclusive Design for All – making the Roof Park a green space designed with consideration for various lifestyles, to create functions that accommodate diverse user needs. This includes areas for both active and passive activities, as well as a pets’ area; 2) Heritage & Legacy continuation of Dusit Thani Bangkok through distinctive elements such as cascading waterfalls, fish ponds, frangipani plantings, and usage of hexagonal forms in designing viewpoints and imagery across different zones, to reflect Dusit Thani's identity while seamlessly integrating contemporary contexts; and 3) Urban Sanctuary & Ecosystem – creating Bangkok's unique urban ecosystem through fostering connections to Lumpini Park, selecting native and rare Thai plants, and avoiding chemicals to prevent impact on small animals and insects. These concepts give the Roof Park standards comparable to world-class public parks such as Central Park in New York and Hyde Park in London, public parks that are designed for everyone's use in prime locations that are most sought of.”
Additionally, the space design considers LEED certification standards for green buildings by using renewable natural materials, such as creating wooden walkway with durable, replaceable natural materials that provide users with warm, authentic natural experiences. Stone usage in certain areas and alternative materials like washed gravel and sand instead of cement bases, to create natural beauty and interesting surface textures. Another crucial aspect is structural engineering, where we collaborated with structure engineers who designed and configured highly complex structural systems to support platforms across all four building components: Hotel, Residences, Retail, and Offices, each with different characteristics and forms. We constructed three-dimensional frameworks and garden beams at every stage across all zones and details to facilitate seamless joining of all components, creating structural strength capable of supporting significant weight without leakage, enabling the upper areas to support large trees, waterfalls, and various activity spaces."

"We envision this green space not merely providing aesthetic enhancement to the project but serving as a rooftop park with a complete ecosystem, making this area perfectly complement and enhance urban quality of life, bringing people closer to nature than ever before. This reflects our commitment to creating excellent projects like Dusit Central Park that elevate Bangkok dwellers' quality of life. We hope this project will inspire other real estate developers to commit to developing green spaces using correct and meaningful concepts that have been carefully refined and planned, to create greenspaces capable of generating sustainable impact on both communities and the environment. Regardless of their size, these spaces can certainly benefit nature and the environment," Ms. Suphajee concluded.
