BANGKOK, Thailand – 30 April 2026– Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa today announced the appointment of Scott Thomson as general manager.

In his new role, Thomson will oversee all aspects of the 223-room resort’s operations, ranging from the hotel’s commercial performance to its guest experience. Located just 15 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa offers a distinctive urban resort experience for business and leisure travellers, as well as international transit guests seeking space, convenience and recreation at the gateway to Bangkok.

As one of Hilton’s newest openings in Thailand, the resort brings the company’s signature hospitality to one of Bangkok’s most connected locations. Set within a resort-style environment, the hotel offers guests access to extensive leisure and wellness facilities, including a golf course and spa, while remaining within easy reach of the airport and the city.

“I am delighted to take on this new opportunity and to lead the talented team at Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa,” said Thomson. “With its unique location, resort facilities and strong flagship brand proposition, the hotel is well placed to serve a wide range of guests, from business travelers and transit guests to families and leisure visitors. I look forward to working with the team to deliver the warm, reliable and memorable hospitality Hilton is known for.”
Thomson brings a strong track record of hotel leadership across Hilton’s portfolio. He most recently served as general manager of Hilton Auckland and cluster general manager for New Zealand North Island, a role he held since 2019. During his tenure, he focused on strengthening operational performance, service delivery, team engagement and owner relations. His appointment comes as Hilton continues to expand its presence in Thailand, with a growing portfolio across key business, leisure and resort destinations.

Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa is part of Hilton Honors®, the award-winning guest loyalty program for Hilton’s 27 world-class brands. Hilton Honors members who book directly through preferred Hilton channels have access to instant benefits, including a flexible payment slider that allows members to choose nearly any combination of Points and money to book a stay, an exclusive member discount that can’t be found anywhere else and free standard Wi-Fi.
