I count myself lucky to have been invited to the Grand Openings of the three Hooters bar and grills in Bangkok, going back a good few years now, long before Covid hit. Hooters always know how to put on a good party, and since the lockdowns began I have missed my jaunts out there once or twice a month … to enjoy the cool cocktails, Hooters famous ‘wings’, and beers, you understand!
But the phoenix has arisen, and Hooters is once again party central.
They are starting things off with a bang, with the return of the wildly popular Miss Hooters Thailand Beauty Pageant, freshly revamped for 2022. The heats were (or are going to be) in Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya … with a spectacular Grand Finale to be held in Hooters Bangok, Nana Soi 4, on Friday 30 September.
If you want to be considered you must be born female, be between 18 to 30 years of age, minimum height 160cm, be able to communicate in English, have a nice attitude, good personality and a friendly approach. Participants should not be married, pregnant, or have a child.
All events will start with the famous ‘Hooters Dance’ performed by the staff at each venue. After the dance has put everyone in a party mood, the contestants will hit the floor … the first round is in the traditional orange and white Hooters uniform, followed by a walk on the runway in evening dress, and lastly a swimsuit round. The Grand Finale at the Hooters on Nana Soi 4 on Friday 30 September will feature nine stunning beauty queens, three each from Pattaya, Phuket, and Bangkok. And customers can join in the fun as the contestant finalists, and eventual winners are chosen.
