Bangkok – In recognition of the historic significance of Lumphini Park, one of Bangkok’s most cherished public green spaces, B.Grimm presents “Khon-Cert in Lumphini Park,” a special outdoor cultural event celebrating the timeless grace of Khon, Thailand’s classical masked dance drama, performed by a new generation of young artists from the Kukrit Institute Performing Arts Center. The event will take place on Sunday, 8 March 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Lumphini Pavilion in Lumphini Park.

Presented by B.Grimm, the event brings together the elegance of traditional Thai performing arts and the grandeur of symphonic music in a unique open-air setting, reflecting Lumphini Park’s enduring role as a cultural and community landmark in the heart of Bangkok.

The evening will open with a Khon performance titled “Lak Sida – The Great Battle,” presented by students from the Kukrit Institute Performing Arts Center. This important episode from Thailand’s national epic, the Ramakien, recounts the abduction of Lady Sida by the demon king Thotsakan, an event that leads to the great battle between the forces of good and evil.

Performed by 71 young artists — the youngest only seven years old — the production showcases the refinement of classical Thai dance, accompanied by the vibrant sounds of traditional piphat music and powerful live narration. The performance highlights themes of loyalty, courage, and righteousness, preserving Thailand’s cultural heritage while nurturing the next generation of performers.

Following the Khon performance, audiences will enjoy a “Concert in the Park” program by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO), Thailand’s leading orchestra under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya. The concert continues RBSO’s longstanding tradition of bringing world-class orchestral music to the public in accessible open-air settings.

As a company that has grown alongside Thai society for more than 147 years, B.Grimm remains committed to its philosophy of “Doing Business with Compassion.” Through initiatives such as Khon-Cert in Lumphini Park, the company reaffirms its dedication to cultural preservation, youth development, and creating meaningful cultural experiences that connect communities through the universal language of music and performance.
