May 2026: – Travellers heading to the nation’s capital have a fresh new place to stay, with the newly rebranded Best Western Plus Canberra Central Apartments officially opening its doors.

Formerly known as Canberra Parklands Central Apartments, the property has been refreshed under the globally recognised Best Western Plus brand, offering a comfortable and flexible stay experience in a central location. Featuring spacious studio and apartment style accommodation, the hotel is ideal for everything from weekend getaways to longer stays, with room to relax, work and unwind.

Guests can now enjoy the benefits of booking through a trusted global brand, with access to seamless online reservations, enhanced service standards, and the convenience of a property designed with modern travellers in mind.

Importantly, the hotel is now part of Best Western Rewards®, one of the world’s most established hotel loyalty programs, with more than 70 million members globally. Travellers staying at the Canberra property can earn and redeem points, access exclusive member rates, and enjoy personalised offers across thousands of BWH hotels worldwide, making every stay even more rewarding.

The Canberra launch also marks the beginning of something bigger. It’s the first in a collection of apartment-style hotels across Australia that are earmarked to join the BWH network, bringing more choice for travellers to these sought after destinations.

Sid Knell, CEO of Prime Group Australasia, which owns the property, said the transition marks an exciting new chapter:

“The move to Best Western Plus brings a new level of visibility and opportunity for the hotel. We’re thrilled to welcome guests under this globally recognised brand and look forward to introducing more of our properties to the network over time.”

Rod Munro, Managing Director of BWH Hotels Australasia, said the opening reflects changing traveller needs:

“Today’s travellers are looking for flexibility, comfort and trusted brands. Best Western Plus Canberra Central Apartments delivers exactly that, spacious accommodation in a great location, backed by the confidence of a global network and a rewarding loyalty program.”

With select hotels set to follow, the launch of Best Western Plus Canberra Central Apartments gives travellers even greater choice when planning their next stay whether it’s for business, leisure, or something in between.
