The concept of Café Buongiorno was inspired by a real piece of history. In 1899, on a winter morning in Italy, Antonio Peroni rode through his family estate and greeted his workers harvesting olives with a warm “Buongiorno.” His reply — “Il buongiorno si vede dal mattino,” meaning “A good day is seen from the morning” — became a family philosophy. That land was soon named Buongiorno, and Antonio and his wife Ottavia opened a tavern by the same name, serving the honest, heartfelt food that reflected their values.
"A tavola nascono le storie – è così che vive Café Buongiorno."
Today, that spirit continues in Bangkok.
Café Buongiorno was created as a cultural meeting place — a tribute to generations of tradition passed down through the Celleno, Peroni, Scarino, Mattei, and Panetta families. Here, the mission is simple: preserve Italian customs through food, warmth, and community. This is where you learn about Italy not from a book, but through a spoonful of soup, the crunch of biscotti, and the stories shared at every table.
A Taste of Italy, From Past to Present
The menu at Café Buongiorno celebrates authentic Italian flavors in every bite. Begin with comforting soups like Minestrone, Mushroom, or Pumpkin — all prepared with care and natural ingredients. Then move on to hearty pastas, crafted the traditional way. Whether you’re here for a quick meal or a slow, lingering lunch, every dish is prepared with the same philosophy: simplicity, quality, and love.

Coffee, of course, plays a starring role — from bold Espresso to smooth Cappuccino, refreshing Shakerato, or something a little richer like Caramel Macchiato. For a perfect pairing, try the homemade biscotti — each with its own name and story: Amos (Chocolate Orange & Almond), Camilla (Chocolate & Almond), Flora (Lemon & Almond), Natalina (Black Raisin & Almond), and Enzo Peroni in Arrone (Malted Chocolate).
Don’t leave without tasting the signature Café Buongiorno Affogato, a luxurious mix of vanilla gelato, espresso, and crispy biscotti — a true celebration in a glass.
