A record number of awards in a single year with a total of 10 accolades, including Best General & Luxury Management Group
The Ascott Limited (Thailand), a wholly owned lodging business unit of Capitaland Investment, has been awarded the top honour of ‘Luxury Management Group’ at the 2022 World Luxury Awards, coming out tops among the hospitality companies on the global stage.
This crowning achievement comes on the heels of 9 other accolades the company has received — including ‘Best General Manager’ and ‘Luxury Brand’ — from votes by travel industry professionals and consumers worldwide.
The 10 awards are a major achievement for the group, with 8 of them competing at the global level and 2 of them at the Asia level. Individual properties were recognised in categories such as 'Luxury Serviced Apartment', 'Luxury Business Serviced Apartments' and 'Luxury Art Boutique Hotel'.
The ‘Best General Manager’ award in the global category went to Mr Brian Tan, the Country General Manager for Thailand & Laos, who oversaw the growth of the company in Thailand & Laos from 17 properties to 27 properties, steered the hotels successfully through the pandemic with minimal layoffs, created a strong employee culture to win back-to-back Best Employer Awards, and attained record guest service scores.
