To mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China, and the 10th anniversary of the sister city partnership between Bangkok and Shenzhen, The Mall Group—Thailand’s leading retail and lifestyle developer—joined forces with China’s SCPG Group in signing a strategic cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony took place at the SCPG Center in Shenzhen, followed by the official opening of the 9th Super-V SCPG Hua Hua Festival: Kud-Thai Holiday at Sunland Incity Mall in Shanghai.
The ceremony in Shenzhen was attended by key dignitaries from both countries, including MR. KAJTITI WIWATWANONT, Consul-General of Thailand in Guangzhou; MS. UMAPON PASUKNIRANT, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Guangzhou Office; SCPG Group Chairman Mr. Ding Liye and CEO Mr. Yao Haibo; and Ms. Supaluck Umpujh, Chairwoman of The Mall Group, along with executives from both companies. The event was also witnessed by Chinese media and influencers.
Following the signing, the delegation visited the “Super-V SCPG Hua Hua Festival” a major annual summer event hosted by SCPG, which this year features the “Kud-Thai Holiday” theme curated by The Mall Group. Showcasing popular Thai products beloved by Chinese tourists—such as dried fruits, juices, traditional Thai snacks (e.g., crispy rolls, rice crackers), and coconut soup in bamboo packaging from Gourmet Thai x Butterbear—the event also highlights Thai fashion (elephant pants, woven fans) and unique lifestyle products from the THAITHAI brand.

This collaboration represents a significant milestone in Thailand-China trade relations, reinforcing cross-border retail strategies and opening new market opportunities for Thai brands in China. Both parties also plan to jointly develop cross-border commerce programs to enhance long-term cooperation.
