BANGKOK, Thailand – December 8, 2025 – Thailand Knowledge Park (TK Park) has officially unveiled its latest initiative to decentralize learning, launching "TK Mini"—automated book borrowing and returning kiosks—at Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (Bang Sue Grand Station). The project aims to transform the massive transit hub, served by hundreds of thousands of commuters daily, into a new access point for knowledge.
The opening ceremony, held today at the terminal’s Gate 3 Hall, was presided over by Mrs. Pornpat Rodphothong Boontanom, Secretary to the Prime Minister's Office, alongside key executives and partners.

Under the concept "Turning Waiting Time into Learning Time," TK Park has installed two automated service points within the Bang Sue transportation network:
● TK Mini Black: Situated near Gate 4 of Bang Sue Grand Station.
● TK Mini Red: Situated on the walkway, B1 floor, connecting to MRT Bang Sue Station.
Both kiosks operate daily from 06:00 to 24:00, allowing the public to conveniently borrow and return books during their travels. This service is designed to support public transport users, making reading accessible whether during the morning rush hour or after work.
Both TK Mini kiosks operate as fully automated systems. Users can borrow and return books via self-service and register for membership instantly through the 'MyTK' app, eliminating the need to visit a physical library.
This initiative truly breaks down time and location barriers to accessing books. It marks a significant milestone for TK Park in tangibly bridging 'Learning Spaces' with 'Travel Spaces.' Strategically located to serve both the railway and MRT networks, the kiosks accommodate the needs of passengers and daily commuters alike.
Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, the President of the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD) stated, "This collaboration between Thailand Knowledge Park and the State Railway of Thailand marks a significant step in elevating public spaces into learning spaces. This initiative not only increases opportunities for book access but also integrates a reading culture into the real-world lifestyles of urban residents."
Mr. Awirut Thongnet, the Deputy Governor of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) remarked, "The State Railway of Thailand is pleased to support the establishment of TK Mini kiosks within Bang Sue Grand Station, which serves as the hub of the nation's rail system. Utilizing the space in this manner adds value to the station and supports the development of a learning-friendly city for the public."
Mr. Wattanachai Winichakul, Acting Director of Thailand Knowledge Park, concluded, "When people travel, books should travel with them. Learning should not be confined to libraries or any single location. Our goal is to bring books out to the points where people live their daily lives. Bang Sue Grand Station is the intersection of Thailand's massive transport network. Having books available in a space like this means we are unlocking knowledge, allowing it to journey alongside the people."
