Vietjet today commenced the direct route connecting Ho Chi Minh City, the largest and most dynamic city in Vietnam to Indonesia’s Jakarta. The commencement makes Ho Chi Minh City - Jakarta the third direct service in Vietjet's flight network between Indonesia and Vietnam.
The airline’s launching ceremony was attended by the Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Arsjad Rasjid, together with representative leaders and enterprises of the two countries. The launching event took place within the framework of the Legal and Policy Forum promoting cooperation in Economy, Trade and Investment between Vietnam and Indonesia.
With seven flights per week via just three-hour flights on modern aircraft, Vietjet’s new flights provide an ideal travel option between Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta, two leading urban centers of Vietnam and Indonesia with distinctive cultural characteristics and serve as the gateway for tourism and economy of the two countries.

The daily flight departs from Ho Chi Minh City departs at 09:35 and arrives at 12:30 in Jakarta. The return flight takes off from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta at 13:30 and arrives in Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City at 16:40 (All in local time GMT+7).
Celebrating the new route launch, Vietjet presents an attractive promotional ticket offer for the Ho Chi Minh City - Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi - Bali routes, travelers can now take advantage of base fares starting from just USD0 (exclusive of taxes and surcharges) (choose “Find lowest fares” when booking).
