Bangkok’s favourite teppanyaki stage returns with a theatrical flourish: opening at the Riverside Plaza on Charoennakorn Road, Benihana is coming and better than ever.
The restaurant is located on the third floor of the plaza, with a contemporary Japanese façade of brushed concrete and driftwood. Entering through the zigzagged foyer (to ward off evil spirits), a dramatic interior of Benihana’s signature black and red hues is revealed.
Guests are invited to take a seat at the theatre-like communal tables, each with teppanyaki grill. Neon tubes run overhead, manga graphics adorn the walls, and spiral pendants spin to reveal images of traditional koi.
Your teppanyaki chef takes centre stage, slicing, dicing, sizzling and searing your chosen meal. Begin with freshly flown in sashimi and inventive fusion sushi rolls such as Angry Tuna and The Fat Duck.
Mains prepared live on the teppanyaki grill include Australian and Japanese beef, New Zealand lamb, Hokkaido scallops, lobster and foie gras. All sets are accompanied by a signature appetizer, salad, onion soup, hibachi vegetables and rice, and an extensive collection of sakes is displayed at the bar.
Benihana is ideal for express business lunches, leisurely evenings drinks, and family celebrations with private rooms available. For more information or reservations, call +66 2476 0022 ext. 1416 or email [email protected]
