On Christmas Eve warm days by the pool or last-minute gift shopping in Chiang Mai’s famous markets give way to cooler wintery evenings on the lawn outside The Service 1921. The former British Consulate and centerpiece to the award-winning resort provides a magical Christmas backdrop where diners can feast on Christmas favourites of roasted turkey with apricot and onion stuffing, honey glazed ham with mustard butter and pineapple sauce and beef wellingtons.
The festivities continue Christmas Day as brunch by the river awaits guests. International flavours for all tastes are served with stations including chilled seafood, BBQ and grilled prime meats, Christmas carvings as well as Thai and Chinese favorites. Desserts include traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce. Children rejoice with stunning gingerbread houses, chocolate Santa and edible Christmas trees.
Local choirs, live bands will entertain the adults and a special appearance by the red suited super star – Santa himself, will be handing out gifts to the little guests (who are not on naughty list).
Countdown to 2022 begins on New Year’s Eve where guests can savour riverside fine dining with a 7-course set menu of artisan cheeses, gourmet land and sea creations and delectable desserts, as the live band and show entertains you.
