Manohra Cruises presents journeys of discovery, whether sailing down the Chao Phraya or on a plate. Explore the flavours of modern European cuisine with Chef Nico Merten for one night only on Saturday 18 January 2020.
Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort’s Manohra Dream is a restored teak rice barge that cruises down the Chao Phraya River, passing iconic sights such as the Temple of Dawn and Grand Palace each evening. Now upping its game with a gourmet culinary offering, Chef Nico Merten will present a chef’s table of four courses paired with Burgundian wines.
Chef Nico hails from Germany, bringing with him the rich flavours of the continent and spicing them up with personal flair. He has trained under some of the best chefs in the world: Bruno Menard, who helmed the three-Michelin-star L’Osier in Tokyo; Guillaume Galliot of three-Michelin-star Caprice, Hong Kong fame: Bernard Bach of two-Michelin-star Puits Saint Jacques in the south of France; and Slovenian trailblazer Ana Ros, named world's best female chef by The World's 50 Best Restaurants.
With creations that are original and fresh, savour prawn, burrata, Iberico lamb and Jerusalem artichoke drizzled with saffron or yuzu. Wines are sourced from family estate L. Tramier & Fils in Burgundy, presenting the best harvests.
The cruise departs from the Anantara pier at 7.30 pm, with welcome drinks on offer from 7.00 pm. Prices are THB 3,200 net per person including wine pairing.
