A Chinese-themed pop-up buffet “Around China” will feature on the lunch and dinner buffet at The Rain Tree Café, The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok during 28 June to 5 July 2019.
The prices for international buffet, which includes drinking water, is THB 1,200++ for lunch and THB 1,600++ for dinner.
There are different 18 Chinese dishes on the buffet, cooked by Hong Kong chef Cheng Kam Sing, rotating as six items for lunch and dinner each day to provide variety for regular diners.
Jellyfish from China and abalone from Taiwan are cooked together in a sweet, rich sesame sauce. Chef Kam himself selects only large size prawns for the dish of stir-fried white prawns in a Beijing sauce. A low-cholesterol, high-nutrition fish is imported from Indonesia to be stir-fried with bell pepper. Also low in cholesterol is the abalone imported from Chile, stir-fried in an XO sauce that is made to Chef Kam’s own secret recipe. He adds that abalone from Taiwan and from Chile varies widely in size and taste.
