Ojo, renowned for being the best Mexican restaurant in Bangkok, promises to host this year’s biggest Dia De los Muertos celebration in the city. Guests will enjoy an exclusive collaboration between Chef Paco, Chef Alonso, and Chef Billy Otis from Taqueria Super Macho in Hong Kong, who will curate an authentic menu inspired by the festival’s rich culinary history featuring cold and raw station, taco station and passaround canapes. To elevate the night even further, Ojo will welcome a guest shift bartender from Hong Kong’s award-winning bar, The Wise King, ranked #89 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023. The Wise King’s team, celebrated for their warm hospitality and creative cocktail creations inspired by 13th-century Spanish tapas culture, will offer a bespoke selection of cocktails for the evening.

In addition to exceptional food offerings, Ojo will be transformed for the night into a vibrant marigold garden plus a lighting installation and immersive experience designed to captivate guests and add to the celebration atmosphere. Latin beats from DJ Hijo del Maïz and DJ Rui will keep the party going late into the night, providing the perfect soundtrack for an evening of party.

The Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is a significant Mexican holiday where families honor their deceased loved ones by creating ofrendas (offerings) adorned with marigold flowers, photos, and the favorite foods and drinks of the departed. It’s a joyful occasion that reunites the living with the dead, turning mourning into celebration. At Ojo, this tradition comes to life in a modern, elevated setting that blends Mexico’s rich cultural heritage with Bangkok’s vibrant energy.
