Sirimahannop, the reimagined Thai tall ship and refined dining destination on the Chao Phraya River, has unveiled a new epicurean experience that allows guests to pair creative cuisine with fine vineyard vintages.
Organized in partnership with Suda Hongsongtham, the official brand educator for Penfolds, the highly-acclaimed Australian beverage company, the “Extraordinary Pairing Night” will be hosted on Sirimahannop’s lower deck on 19th May 2022, from 19.00 hrs.
In this exquisite setting, diners can indulge in a contemporary four-course menu paired with Penfolds’ premium labels. The appetizer of king fish crudo with pickled pumpkin, toasted quinoa, Thai tangerine and coriander cress will be accompanied by Penfolds’ light and vibrant Bin 51 Riesling 2017, while the fish course of slow-baked salmon with galangal & tomato marmalade, Thai basil and pea shoots will be paired with a dark and fruity Bin 23 Pinot Noir 2019.
The mouth-watering main course features a succulent rack of lamb, dusted with seven spices and served with cucumber mint relish and natural lamb jus, paired with Penfolds’ rich and bold Bin 28 Shiraz 2019. This gastronomic journey will conclude with a crispy rice crêpe, served with Chantilly cream and raspberry & chili sorbet.
Khun Suda will be on-hand throughout this intimate evening to introduce each vintage and explain the tasting notes. This unmissable event is priced at THB 4,000 ++ per person.
To make this occasion even more memorable, guests will be serenaded by smooth music, including a live singer, saxophonist and pianist.
