The Australian Table: A Culinary Collaboration with Chef Yakup
Gourmet Market, in collaboration with the Australian Embassy and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), invites food lovers to embark on a refined culinary journey at “Taste of Australia 2026.” Under the concept “Journey of Flavours – Discover the Taste of Australia on a Plate,” the festival brings together premium Australian ingredients and inspired cooking, running from January 22 to February 5, 2026, across all Gourmet Market branches.
As part of this immersive experience, Gourmet Market presents an exclusive Chef’s Table, “The Australian Table: A Culinary Collaboration with Chef Yakup.” Drawing on his background in Michelin-starred kitchens, Chef Yakup (Tangsongsirisak) has curated a premium three-course menu highlighting the depth and versatility of Australian produce. The menu features Aussie Beef Brisket Kavurma, slow-cooked Australian beef brisket prepared in traditional Kavurma style and served with fragrant crispy saffron rice, followed by Aussie Lamb Tagine, a Mediterranean-inspired braised Australian lamb shank enriched with dried fruits and preserved lemon. The experience concludes with a delicate Labneh Cheesecake, paired with cherry sauce. Each course is complemented by carefully selected beverages and is available exclusively at You Hunt We Cook, Gourmet Market, G Floor, EmQuartier.

Beyond the Chef’s Table, Taste of Australia 2026 invites diners to explore a journey through six Australian states via curated ingredient zones. Tasmania highlights its pristine environment with premium cherries, trout rich in Omega-3, smoked salmon with delicate sweetness, Cape Grim grass-fed beef raised naturally without hormones or antibiotics, Leatherwood honey sourced from native forests, and a diverse Ashgrove cheese selection. South Australia showcases indulgent vanilla bean Greek yoghurt, ultra-fine San Remo angel hair pasta, and sweet chilli sour cream chips. New South Wales brings innovation-forward ingredients such as premium Australian lamb with high marbling and nutrient-rich unsweetened almond milk. Victoria represents Australia’s dairy heartland with high-protein Greek-style yoghurt and creamy vanilla yoghurt, while Queensland features dried strawberries paired with creamy cheese for an indulgent bite. Western Australia completes the journey with native greenlip abalone, crisp Soluna apples, and rich-flavoured Australian Hass avocados.
