Hand-drawn Illustration ‘A Cat’s Absence is the Mice’s Delight’ A Blessing Bestowed Upon Thailand by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Debaratanarajasuda To Welcome the Year of the Mouse in 2020

For the coming 2020, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Debaratanarajasuda, The Princess Royal of Thailand has blessed the people of Thailand with a personal hand-drawing of an illustration of two mice and a cat which is to be embroidered on an auspicious collection including bags, 8 polo shirt variants, 3 V-neck t-shirt variants, and 2 crew-neck t-shirts variants to be merchandised for the special occasion of New Year 2020.

In addition to Her Royal Highness’ illustration, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Debaratanarajasuda, The Princess Royal of Thailand has expressed her New Year’s greeting in preparation for the Year of the Mouse in 2020 with the allegory of “แมวไม่อยู่ หนูระเริง” (A Cat’s Absence is the Mice’s Delight)

The people of Thailand are blessed with the heartening New Year’s greeting by Her Royal Highness in hopes of being overwhelmed with joy and happiness, and to be unencumbered by distress or harm. Nonetheless, with regards to the allegory, while the mice do not have to live in fear, it is important to bear in mind that the cat may return at any given time. Thus, the mice (and the people) ought not to be complacent and are advised to be attentive and conscious to thrive and live happily. The moral of this allegory, intended to instill valuable wisdom, is a quintessential bestowal of the utmost value.
