Hyatt Regency Hua Hin recently welcomed Vincenzo Gatti to its culinary team as Executive Chef. Chef Vincenzo brings with him 20 years of culinary experience gained across many countries, with different positions in many kitchens of five-star hotels. He began his culinary career in Italy, after which he worked in various cities across Europe, including Amsterdam and Cologne. When the opportunity arose for Chef Vincenzo to work in Dubai, he accepted the offer without hesitation as he wanted to experience other parts of the world and to sharpen his skills in international cuisine. Within a year of moving to Dubai, his team and the Certo Restaurant were awarded ´Best Italian Restaurant in Dubai´. Chef Vincenzo is no stranger to the Hyatt family, having previously worked at Park Hyatt Guangzhou, China. Prior to joining Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, he was the Executive Sous Chef at Grand Hyatt Seoul, South Korea. Growing up in Puglia, Chef Vincenzo´s cooking was influenced by the region’s rich culinary traditions, which feature an abundance of fresh produce. But his biggest influence was his mother, who taught him how to cook wholesome comfort food drizzled with passion in each and every one of his dishes. Chef Vincenzo said, “Food brings people together because we can share our thoughts and culture. Food carries a deep connection of scent, sound and emotion. I would like to inspire young Chefs in my kitchen to create not only flavoursome dishes but food that´s heartwarming as well.” |
