Kwann, a Thai casual fine dining restaurant, is unveiling its new menu, featuring regional Thai dishes crafted with smoke-infused techniques. Each dish highlights premium local ingredients, supporting Thai farmers while reimagining traditional flavors through the art of fire and charcoal.
New Signature Dishes at Kwann
  • Kanom Bueang Pu (Thai-Style Crab Taco) – Inspired by traditional Thai crispy crepes, this dish features smoked blue crab to align with Kwann’s signature smoky theme.
  • Saw Nam (Pineapple Tart) – A creative take on Kanom Jeen Saw Nam, a traditional Thai dish known for its refreshing flavors. This version blends pineapple, coconut milk, and aromatic herbs in a tart.
  • Grilled Beef Skewer – This dish features Bavette beef, a tender cut near the internal organs, known for its rich texture. Inspired by Kuay Teow Nam Tok (Thai beef noodle soup), the skewer is served with a bold, tangy chili-vinegar sauce reminiscent of the classic noodle dish's condiments.
  • Lightly Smoked White Shrimp (Ceviche-Style Tom Som) – Fresh shrimp is lightly torched and served with citrus and Tom Som (sour curry) sauce, offering a bright, refreshing taste.
Main Course Highlights
  • Smoked Meat & Peanut Curry – Inspired by Panang curry, this dish incorporates mole sauce from Mexico, blending chocolate with peanuts for a rich depth of flavor. Guests can choose between Smoked Pork Belly or Brisket, paired with unique condiments such as pickled cashew nuts, pickled jicama, pickled cucumber, and house-made garlic naan.
  • Nam Prik Nuer (Spicy Beef Relish) – A bold, smoky beef chili relish inspired by Nam Prik Ta Daeng (roasted chili paste), featuring Bavette and Hanger cuts of beef, served with rare Thai vegetables like Cha Muang leaves, Pak Kad Hin, and Pak Plang.
Rice Selections
Kwann offers two premium Thai rice options:
  • Organic Jasmine Rice from Yasothon – Harvested fresh per order to maintain its natural fragrance.
  • Sangyod Rice from Phatthalung – A rare, heirloom variety grown only once a year.
Desserts
  • O-Aew (Phuket Herbal Jelly & Granita) – A traditional Phuket dessert made from Osmanthus jelly, served with seasonal fruit granita for a light, refreshing finish.
  • Coconut Panna Cotta with Sticky Rice Mochi – Inspired by Thai banana desserts such as Banana in Coconut Milk, Grilled Banana with Coconut Sauce, and Banana Chips, this dish incorporates sticky rice mochi for a unique texture.

This launch also introduces Chef Bomb Piyapong Mingngam, a seasoned culinary expert behind several renowned restaurants, who has joined the Kwann team. With his expertise, Kwann continues to elevate Thai cuisine using smoke-based techniques, transforming the presentation of traditional dishes while preserving their authentic flavors.
