KARD joins ASICS as their NEW REGIONAL AMBASSADOR

The co-ed K-pop group fronts the brand’s latest campaign to bring back GEL-BND™ sneakers and introduce new STRIKING colourways
ASICS is proud to announce KARD as its new brand ambassador in Southeast Asia. The popular South Korean quartet is made up of Jeon Ji-woo, J.Seph, Joen So-min and B.M. and they have paved a unique path in the pop industry as a mixed gender pop group. After officially debuting in 2017, KARD has managed to acquire a loyal global fanbase and consistently grace the Billboard World charts in just over a year.
 
KARD is set to hit the ground running and represent the brand in the latest comeback campaign for GEL-BND™ sneakers and unveil bolder, more striking colourways for the trendy silhouette. Their latest single ‘Bomb Bomb’ released on 27 March will kick off the GEL-BND™ launch, with the song being used in its first campaign video.
 
Comeback of ASICS GEL-BND™
 
As one of the ground-breaking acts in the Korean music scene, KARD has been the epitome of bold and chic, blazing new paths and setting the next style trends. Now fans can master the art of being effortlessly cool with these KARD-approved ASICS GEL-BND™ sneakers.
 
First introduced in April in limited quantities, ASICS now brings back the shoe silhouette in seven new original colourways, of which two are exclusively available only at JD Sports. This adds up to a total of 11 colourways available for the relaunch of the GEL-BND™.
 
The sneakers are available at all ASICS stores and online at asics.com, in the below colourways.
Get up close and personal with KARD!
 
KARD fans can rejoice because an opportunity to see the group up close and personal in an all-expenses paid trip to Bangkok, Thailand is up for grabs with every purchase of GEL-BND™ sneakers. From 1st to 30th August, 50 lucky customers who buy a pair of GEL-BND™ in ASICS stores stand a chance to see KARD live in Bangkok on 12th September. There are also other attractive prizes available with every purchase, including limited edition ASICS-KARD merchandise.
 
Also, as the first brand to work with Tik Tok in the Southeast Asian regions, ASICS will be giving passes to winners of the Hashtag Challenge to let them see KARD perform in Thailand. From 12 August till the end of the month, fans can enter a 15-second dance challenge on the TikTok app, by following a few simple dance moves and hashtagging #GELBNDChallenge. 20 winners will be selected to join KARD in Bangkok in September.
 
#KARDxGEL-BND: Add the coolest KARD GIFs to your Instagram Stories
 
Lastly, KARD and GEL-BND fans can add some swag to their Instgram Stories, by using unique KARDxGEL-BND GIPHY stickers. The new collection of animated stickers include the GEL-BND Get a preview of the full range of new stickers by searching “GELBND” on Instagram.
