La Familiare Presents “Pizza Journeys” with Inaugural “Yeast & Hops” Session – a Social Celebration of Authentic Italian Flavors

​Pattaya, Thailand: May 15, 2026 – Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa, the tranquil retreat nestled on the golden sands of Jomtien Beach, has transported guests on a “Pizza Journey” with the first in a new series of lively, social and interactive chef-led sessions that showcase authentic, handcrafted pizzas, perfectly paired with craft beers and DJ beats.
 
At La Familiare, the resort’s elegant ristorante, passionate chefs use premium Italian flour and San Marzano tomatoes, imported from Naples, to bring the traditional taste of Italy to diners. On May 8, 2026, the restaurant staged “Yeast & Hops” – an exclusive epicurean evening that unfolded over six sensational “Slices” – pizza & beer combos that blended timeless flavors with culinary creativity.
 
Slice #1 – Tonnato featured deep-fried dough wrapped into a cone and packed with tuna, ham, black olives, tonnato sauce and salsa verde, complemented with a glass of Menabrea Blonda, a light and crisp Italian lager. Slice #2 – Tricolore then presented a classic Neapolitan-style pizza with a light, airy Biga dough base, topped with roasted tomato sauce, parmesan fondue, basil pesto and spicy nduja to resemble the red, white and green stripes of the Italian flag. This was beautifully balanced with Poretti’s full-bodied 5 Luppoli Bock Chiara.
 
A striking black Schiacciata-style pizza, made using coconut & charcoal activated dough, was showcased in Slice #3 – Porchetta, Potate & Provola, layered with Italian ham, roasted potato, scamorza cheese, rosemary cream and rocket pesto to capture the taste of the Italian countryside, and paired with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Slice #4 – Detroit to Pattaya then treated diners to a deep-pan slice, bursting with Thai flavors and a Panang curry sauce, matched with a glass of Hoegaarden – a refreshing wheat beer.
 
Slice #5 – Sapori evoked the essence of an Italian forest, with a Roman-style wholewheat base topped with truffle fondue, mushroom ragu, grilled Angus beef and butternut squash purée, accompanied with Duvel 666 to balance the umami depth. This inspiring evening concluded with Slice #6 – Dough-Nut, an indulgent pizza donut filled with tiramisu cream and hazelnut praline, topped with gold dust and paired with a glass of Maisel’s Hefeweizen Dunkel, a dark wheat beer to complement the dessert’s sweetness.
 
Yeast & Hops marked the first edition of the Pizza Journey series, which will now be staged regularly at La Familiare, showcasing authentic Italian flavors in a vibrant ambiance. Stay tuned for the second edition – further details will be announced soon!
