After first launching a made-to-measure closet program (Armadio al Centimetro) in the 1980s, LEMA, a leading Italian furnishings brand renowned for closets and shelving systems, is taking center-stage with the LEMA Air Cleaning System.
The external environment is full of contaminants, and because of inadequate air exchange, bacteria, allergens, mold, carbon monoxide, and fine powders can cause unwanted odors to be absorbed into garments. LEMA recognized that this as a major concern, and for the need to further satisfy the well-being of its customers.

The LEMA Air Cleaning System, developed with AIR CONTROL, adopts the patented PCOTM technology of Dust-Free, Photocatalytic Oxidation. This technique was developed to sanitize aerospace environments, and is widely used in the food and medical sectors. The interaction of nanotechnology with a special UV lamp generates a photochemical reaction that can destroy pollutants, bacteria and mold, and purify the interior of the closet, reducing unpleasant odors from clothing and shoes by more than 90%.
The system is available as an accessory, is placed at the top of the closet, and comes in versions with hinged, folding and co-planar doors.
