This luscious traditional circular mould cake combines delectable flavours and aromas derived from the genuine recipe and all-time favourites reimagined from the past decade.
Led by Executive Pastry Chef Franck Istel and his team, where originality meets craftsmanship, the ‘Gugelhupf’ recipe has been reimagined and restored to showcase the beauty of European savoir-faire and its stories. The ‘Gugelhupf’ is famous in Central Europe, particularly in Chef Franck’s hometown, in Alsace, France, where he grew up and where the inspiration came from.
The ‘Gugelhupf Times’ and selections come in four distinctive flavours to satisfy every discerning palate.
‘The Signature’ features Valrhona Manjari chocolate cake, with 64% rare cocoa from Madagascar and an original recipe from the grand opening gala event of Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok back in 2010.
‘Luxe Fruit Cake’ is mixed with luxury candied fruit of lemon, orange, cherries, raisins and almonds, glazed with apricot jam.
‘Sparkling Marble’ is a chocolate-and-vanilla tea cake glazed with shiny dark chocolate.
‘LemonRasp Twist’ is a lemon tea cake freshly grated with lemon zest and glazed with raspberry chocolate.
The previous popular ‘The Signature’, with added-on new creations, pairs with a delightful tea or coffee to complete your perfect afternoon break.
The ‘Gugelhupf Discovery Set Box’ is available in four set flavours for take-away at THB 550+ per box with 24-hour advance orders. An additional delivery fee is applied per destination and drop-off point within Bangkok.
