The 10th Negroni Week is set to rock your socks off between 12th – 18th September 2022.
In 2019, the world celebrated 100 years of Negroni, the Italian-born and one of the most elegant of the classic cocktails. This year, the spin-off charity initiative of the cocktail, Negroni Week, is heralding its 10th anniversary with bigger, grander celebration around the globe and new charity partner, Slow Food, https://www.negroniweek.com/partners/
Since its inception a decade ago by Campari and Imbibe Magazine the global charity initiative, which puts the power of fundraising in the hands of bars, restaurants and retailers all over the world, including Thailand, raised millions of dollars for charitable causes. The 10-year milestone also sees Negroni Week welcoming new partner, Slow Food, that holds the mission to preserve local food cultures and traditions across 160 countries. Also taking pride in its Italian root, just like Negroni and Campari, Slow Food is set to make for an incredible collaborative effort with Negroni Week from this year onward, especially with the increasing challenges that face the hospitality and food and beverage worlds in recent years.
This year, along with lots and lots of Negronis, the 10-year celebrations will be centered around the ‘bartender’s handshake’, a longstanding ritual that symbolizes the very essence of hospitality where bartenders offer a small serve on the house to friends and colleagues that come to their venues. Expect some very creative and mind-blowing “Bartender Handshake” Negroni variations during the Negroni-soaked week this year.
Between 12th – 18th September 2022, cocktail enthusiasts and Negroni fans in Thailand can enjoy the bartender’s handshake experience and the celebration of Negroni Week’s 10th anniversary at more than 100 participating bars and restaurants all over the country, as well as dozens of special bartender guest shifts in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Samui.
