The resulting custard-filled mooncakes, imprinted with traditional designs, are beautifully packaged in elegant, eight-piece octagonal red gift boxes made with fully compostable, environmentally - friendly materials and decorated with a lotus-flower motif. The eight-piece sets are a take on the Chinese word for “eight,” which sounds similar to the words for “prosperity” and “good fortune” – popular good wishes exchanged between family members, friends, and colleagues.
The Peninsula Bangkok’s handmade mooncakes have long been a favourite gift for our guests to share during The Mid-Autumn festival. This year’s Organic Egg Custard Mooncakes are available at The Peninsula Boutique Shop, located on the ground level of the hotel.
