In celebration of the Lunar New Year – the most illustrious holiday on the Chinese calendar – The Peninsula Bangkok has planned a lineup of special festive events, menus, and offers that let guests mark the occasion with their families in signature Peninsula style from 2 - 30 January 2023.
A Spectacular Tradition to celebrate togetherness
On 22 January 2023, the lion dance, which symbolises prosperity and good luck for the coming year, is one of the most cherished traditions of the Lunar New Year. At The Peninsula Bangkok, a magnificent rendition of this dance will kick off the holiday celebration on 20-24 January – the first day of the Lunar New Year. The event will take place in the hotel’s porte-cochere, amid elaborate festive decorations featuring blossoms tree, orange tree, and festive lanterns to signify good luck; and blossoms and kumquat bushes to connote prosperity for guests and their families. Workshops in traditional arts like Chinese calligraphy, provide chances for families to spend pleasant time together while taking part in cultural pursuits.

An acclaimed gourmet Chinese restaurant, Mei Jiang, has reopened with an exciting new initiative: authentic Cantonese with modern flair and plant-based cuisine that embraces both traditional flavour and sustainability. The new menu offerings as of 20 January 2023 onwards. All are carefully crafted with the finest ingredients by Mei Jang’s celebrated culinary team.
Also Mei Jiang, guests can savour an authentic Cantonese Dim Sum, featuring handcrafted dumplings and delectable wok-style dishes. Available from 20 January 2023 onwards, from noon to 2:30 pm; every Saturday and Sunday.
