Bharath S Bhat and Saurabh Sachdeva one-off event only on 17-18 August
NILA Bangkok and Tambu Phuket are together presenting a one-of-a-kind 4-hands dining experience featuring a superstar team of Iron Chef Thailand winners, Bharath S Bhat and Saurabh Sachdeva, who will present for two nights only a menu inspired by India’s coastal cuisine heritage.
Together the two master chefs will prepare a 10-course menu that reveals the many vibrant aspects of food from the west, east and south coasts, which includes Portuguese and Mughal influences, and the art of charcoal cooking.
This entirely one-off menu is available only on 17 and 18 August 2024, served between 18:30 and 22:30 hrs, and priced at THB 2,200++ per person.
Chef Bharath is executive chef of NILA, Amari Bangkok, Thailand’s premier restaurant for Indian coastal specialities. With his many years of experience both in India and overseas he has developed a menu that explores the food styles to be found in India’s sea and river ports, with their centuries of trading.
Saurabh is Executive Sous Chef of Tambu Indian restaurant, set in an exquisite Mughal-era tent on the rooftop of Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong, overlooking mountain forests and the Andaman Sea. Preparing Indian charcoal cuisine with smoky, earthy flavours cooked over glowing embers, Chef Saurabh is renowned for his innovative approach to traditional tastes and techniques.
Both Bharath and Saurabh are winners of Iron Chef Thailand, Chef Bharath having been the first Indian chef to win the accolade.
