Freddie Mercury remembered

HARD Rock Cafe Bangkok joined Hard Rock Cafes around the world in celebrating the birthday of the late and great Freddie Mercury by hosting a fundraising concert in aid of HIV/AIDS awareness. Telefon band, together with King Pichet from The Voice and Ohm-Bodyslam, took to the stage to perform renditions of Queen’s smash-hit singles, while Hard Rock’s bartenders concocted special cocktails for the occasion – proceeds of which will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust

Craft opens on Silom

THE second branch of Craft in Bangkok (the first is on Sukhumvit Soi 23) was packed with beer fans when it celebrated its grand opening last month. Located on Soi Surasak (981 Silom Rd), next to Whisgars and the Minus 13 Ice Lounge, the new venue offers 20 draught taps of popular, niche and avant-garde beers and ales, as well as bottled beers and a menu of bar snacks.

SINGAPORE/London based photographer Lepa Georgievska showcased her latest series of work at YenakArt Villa Art Gallery. Called Bangkok Beauties, the exhibition, arranged in conjunction with Campari, featured glamourous portraits of Bangkok’s most acclaimed, interesting and charming performers and entertainers. During the opening night Campari Academy’s best bartenders were on hand to create cocktails for guests
