Guests and Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort’s team supported the Phuket Marine Biological Centre’s (Phuket, Thailand) Annual Sea Turtle Conservation Event. We released 40 turtles yesterday (on Songkran Day, 13th of April, 2023) and those who donated, received a limited edition Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort Sea Turtle t-shirt. A Sea Turtle to Release on the Beach is our annual charity event that aims to raise awareness and save marine life, and funds to support the ongoing sea turtle conservation initiative of Phuket Marine Biological Center (PMBC). On 13th April at 17.30 hrs. Total of 40 turtles released were into the sea safely and the funds will be given to PMBC.

Through Campari Academy, Creative Director Monica Berg is set on a mission to unify and diversify the global bar scene with “the old generation’s wisdom”
 
Earlier on 29 March, 250 bartenders in Thailand were treated to an inspiring, eye-opening session at the official launch of Campari Academy Asia at Paragon Cineplex, Siam Paragon, where a team of drinks industry experts, led by renowned bartender and mentor, Monica Berg, came out to share their insights, experience and knowledge to the bartending community. 

Anantara’s serene Layan and Mai Khao Phuket beaches offer secluded stretches of sand and sea, perfect runways for endangered baby turtles and bamboo sharks to be released into the sea. It’s an inspiring  event that ought to be on any nature lover’s bucket list.
 
When the tide ebbs at dusk this Songkran (Thai New Year), between 5pm and 6:30pm, on 13 and 14 April at Mai Khao Beach and Layan Beach respectively, guests of both Anantara Phuket resorts are encouraged to sponsor the release of either an endangered turtle or vulnerable bamboo shark. The official ceremonies at each of the resorts, heralds the release of 20 green sea turtles ranging from 12 to 15 months and 20 juvenile bamboo sharks along the beaches where both Anantara Layan Resort and Anantara Mai Khao Villas are located.
