Guests collect stamps at each venue through a playful “passport” system, with prizes awaiting those who reach a set number of stops along the trail. More than just a dining promotion, the Ruta de la Tapa captures the communal spirit of Spanish culture, encouraging connection through food.

A Citywide Fiesta of Food and WineThroughout the campaign, Thailand will play host to a rich calendar of experiences designed to immerse audiences in Spanish food and wine. Highlights include:
- Spain Under the Stars and gastronomic events
Spanish nights will light up Bangkok. Meliá’s second anniversary at LUZ Viva and a Movie Night under the Stars with Comte de Sibour’s Estrella Damm, Spanish brunches at El Willy and Uno Más, a giant paella at Sabio, Fizzy Fridays at Japanish, and Spanish DJ Fridays at Movida, the Inedit Magnum launch at Uno Más, the city will be filled with the flavours, sounds, and spirit of Spain.
One of the culinary highlights of this year’s programme is the introduction of Ombrena, a sashimi-grade fish from Spain, presented by Thammachart at The Commons Kitchen and Bar. This event not only spotlights Spain’s premium seafood but also underscores the country’s commitment to innovation and quality in global gastronomy.
Eat Spain, Drink Spain 2025 also extends beyond the dining table, blending food with lifestyle and culture.
- A pilates session followed by Iberico ham tasting and wine pairing at Latirra, showcasing the Spanish philosophy of balance.

Exclusive wine dinners and pairing experiences will unfold across some of Bangkok’s finest Spanish restaurants: Bodegas Wine with Toro, an Autor wine dinner at Arroz, Alta Alella at El Willy, as well as further wine dinners at Latirra and Mod Kaew (showcasing regional wines from the Canary Islands), among others.
- HORECA Promotions
Over 70 restaurants nationwide will offer special Spanish menus (cocido madrileño at Albricias), special prices at Arroz to celebrate Spain’s National Day, and different dining events.
This year’s campaign features more than 15 wine-by-the-glass promotions across Bangkok, offering new opportunities for guests to sample Spain’s renowned vineyards.
The “Spanish Aperitivo” by Comte de Sibour brings the country’s aperitivo culture to life in over ten restaurants, both Spanish and non-Spanish, through creative drinks menus designed to transport guests to the Mediterranean coast.
- Retail Promotions
Spanish products will also be on display in retail spaces. The “Discover the Spanish Fiesta” campaign, sponsored by LaLiga, will run across more than 90 Tops Supermarkets, while Gourmet Market and The Mall Group will feature exclusive promotions on Spanish products. - Ruta de la Tapa

About Eat Spain, Drink Spain 2025
Eat Spain, Drink Spain is an international campaign created to showcase Spanish gastronomy and wine. Organised by the Embassy of Spain in Thailand and ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, the 2025 edition marks the debut of the campaign in Bangkok, running from 22 September to 15 October 2025.
The programme brings together more than 60 events and 40 promotions across leading restaurants, bars, and retail spaces, highlighting Spain’s world-class chefs, wines, tapas culture, and culinary innovations. Signature experiences include the Ruta de la Tapa, wine dinners, tastings, mixology sessions, cultural pairings, and retail activations — all designed to connect Thai audiences with Spain’s celebrated lifestyle of food, wine, and conviviality.
