The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi, in collaboration with SUGOI JAPAN, presents "SUGOI JAPAN FEST 2025 PRESENTED BY THE MALL LIFESTORE" to Experience Authentic Japanese Culture For the first time in Thailand, the event offers a unique chance to enhance good fortune with Daruma dolls that have been blessed through a ceremony at Darumaji Temple, the birthplace of the Daruma doll in Japan. Enjoy a delightful experience with original Japanese dishes and explore unseen tourist spots recommended by the Japanese. The event will be held from February 20th to 23rd, 2025, at M GRAND HALL, G Floor, The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi.
​The "SUGOI JAPAN FEST 2025 PRESENTED BY THE MALL LIFESTORE" is a grand event organized through a collaboration between The Mall Lifestore and SUGOI JAPAN, a Japan-related program led by Hiro Sano, a true Japanese expert. It also involves AEON Thanasinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited, AirJapan, Tottori Prefectural Government, M Expatriate, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), J.CLAIR Singapore, and is supported by the Japanese Embassy in Thailand. The opening ceremony will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, with the honor of H.E. OTAKA MASATO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Thailand, presiding over the event. The attendees will also be able to witness live eel filleting demonstrations from          Mr. Kawai Takeharu, a master and owner of the famous Japanese restaurant "UNAGI TOKU," as well as a demonstration of filleting premium Hon Maguro tuna, one of Japan’s most valuable fish, by Mr. Ariura Shu, an experienced master from Sojitz Tuna Farm Takashima, a large tuna farm in Japan.
This Year's Event Theme: PRAY – EAT – TRAVEL IN JAPAN, Bringing Authentic Japanese Festival Atmosphere. The event this year is held under the concept "PRAY – EAT – TRAVEL IN JAPAN," recreating the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese festival. It also features the Daruma, a symbol of hope for the Japanese people, which has been blessed through the Kaigen ceremony (the ritual of opening the eyes) at Darumaji Temple, the birthplace of the Daruma doll in Japan. Attendees will see a large golden Daruma, over 2 meters tall. According to Japanese tradition, writing a wish on the Daruma’s eye will help make the wish come true. If the wish is fulfilled or after one year, the Daruma must be taken to be burned in a ceremony for good fortune.The event will showcase Daruma dolls in four colors for different wishes, Black Daruma for business success, Pink Daruma for love, Red Daruma for luck, Green Daruma for health. There will also be various authentic Daruma dolls available for purchase, so you can bring one home to continue your own prayers for good fortune.

Experience the Flavorful Delights of SUGOI JAPAN with Exclusive Culinary Offerings At this event, attendees will also be able to indulge in the exquisite flavors of SUGOI JAPAN. For the first time in Thailand, enjoy KAISENDON (seafood rice bowl) from the famous GENKAI DON restaurant, directly from Kyoto. This dish features fresh seafood over rice, including ingredients like tuna, salmon, sea urchin, and salmon roe, all sourced directly from Japan. Additionally, there will be ramen from JAPANESE NOODLE KOTECHIKI from Shiga, offering a special ramen blend exclusively for this event. The ramen is a fusion of two renowned ramen shops: Ramen Chicken Yaro, which won the Newcomer Gold Prize at the 2013 Ramen Walker Grand Prix, and Menya Kotetsu, which received accolades for excellent dining from Tabelog in both 2017 and 2018. The special creation for this event is the Rich Umami Chicken Ramen, guaranteed to delight the SUGOI JAPAN visitors with its exceptional taste.

A Wide Variety of Delicious Dishes Directly from Japan In addition, there will be many more mouthwatering Japanese dishes available, including TOKYO BANANA, a soft sponge cake filled with banana-flavored custard cream, a famous Japanese souvenir; MENTAIKO FROM FUKUOKA, a Japanese street food-style sandwich with fragrant, soft bread filled with the shop's special sweet egg and topped with mentaiko sauce; and a special Tempura Mentai San-Do, a shrimp tempura sandwich served with mentaiko egg salad. Also featured is IKURA FROM HOKKAIDO, a premium Japanese-style onigiri rice ball made with premium seafood ingredients directly from Japan, such as scallops (hotate) or sea urchin roe. A special highlight of the event will be the tasting of Kani Benizuai, famous crabs from Tottori Prefecture, and the opportunity to try Wagyu Beef from Tottori, known for its tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture.To wrap up the event, travel enthusiasts can visit Japanese travel booths such as UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN, Team KANSAI x TRAVEL CONTENTS, TOTTORI, and BEPPU.
Experience Traditional Japanese Arts and Culture In addition, attendees can enjoy traditional Japanese arts and culture, such as the Yosakoi dance performance on February 20, 2025. On February 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, enjoy the vibrant and exciting performances by 11 J-POP idol groups, bringing lively entertainment to the event. The fun continues on February 23, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM with a special appearance by the 6 charming members of the group PROXIE.
