Mr Bruno Rotschaedl, General Manager, Swissotel Bangkok Ratchada, and team gave a warm welcome to the Vienna Boys Choir and their crew when they stayed and performed at the hotel as part of celebrations of the 150th anniversary of amity between Thailand and Austria.
Also joining the welcome at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom were several honourable guests, including the Austrian Ambassador H.E. Mrs. Eva Hager, and other ambassadors.

The evening’s program included a Thai traditional dance performance, followed by a presentation of Austrian embassy activities by the Ambassador, and culminating in a program of glorious choral singing by the boys.

The following day, on 10 January 2019, the boys performed what was their first show in Thailand for seven years, commemorating the anniversary of bilateral relations at Kbank Siam Pic-Ganesha Theater.
The Vienna Boys Choir is renowned as one of the world's foremost and oldest musical institutions. Their training and traditions are even included on UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list.
