The Ideaopolis that offers a fine selection of distinctively creative design products in both exclusive and collaborative styles emphasizes its role as the leader for inspirational creation based on the key concept of Be Inspire by opening “Absolute Siam Space” to expand the creative space showcasing items of the popular brands and exclusive products that will rotate every four months. Debuting the new space is the latest collections by 3 leading brands; Collector Project by Ek Thongprasert, MAHANAKORN and ONE MORE THING.

Collector Project by Ek Thongprasert was born from the passion of collecting textiles and stuffs during the journeys in Thailand and oversea of its founder Ek Thongprasert. Collector Project by Ek Thongprasert presents a collection made of four different materials namely pha yant (spirit cloth) and talisman, woven rug in landscape pattern, cross-stitch embroidered fabric, and linen fabric in Tea Towel print and the results are eye-catching products such as short sleeved shirts in pha yant (spirit cloth) print, shirts printed with incantation or magic words, and other accessories like necklaces and keyrings that take inspiration from the forms of takrut (tiny rolled amulet) and other talismans. There are also tote bags inspired by a rug’s landscape pattern shown on a wall and vintage-style shirts in cross-stitched print and Tea Towel pattern.
MAHANAKORN comes with the latest collection based on the idea of Bangkok Nowhere – Bangkok where is like no other places. Among the attractive products are t-shirts, tote bags, hats and accessories presented in four outlandish characters representing Thai-ness. Durian Run Run mixes the character of durian regarded as the king of fruits with the charming and distinctive customary Thai greeting called wai to represent gratitude and apology in polite manner. MR.Toss character takes inspiration from the majestic character of the Demon King “Tossakan” from the epic Ramakien but is twisted in new angle and blended with the Siamese Smile, a famed ambivalence of the national character, resulting in a modern street style. Next up is Bangkok Monkey Boy that twists the cheerful and playful character of the monkey king “Hanuman” from the epic Ramakien to play with the word “Bangkok” aiming to present the stylist yet humorous attributes. The last character called 2 Fing BKK comes from the V sign, a hand gesture in which the index and middle fingers are raised and parted to make a V shape while the other fingers are clenched as a symbol of peace and happiness. This symbol is used in the design to represent the distinctive character of Thai people who are friendly, peaceful, and sanook (fun-loving approach to life) and is retold through the use of traditional Thai line drawing hidden with playful approach. If the hand is turned in other directions, the meaning will be different in amusing tone to match with the unusual style of “Mahanakorn”.

ONE MORE THING or OMT presents the latest collection OMT for Absolute Siam Space featuring the exclusive bags Shopper bomb & madamn bomb. The bags come with 6 new and unconventional patterns born from the heat transfer technique from the collection OMT – Style designed by Saran Yen Panya, the brand’s co-founder and creative storyteller. The 6 new patterns are available in limited editions.
