Shopaholics rejoice. The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s annual promotion returns next month featuring big discounts at leading malls throughout Bangkok
BANGKOK’S commercial heart is set to beat that little bit faster next month with the arrival of the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2016. From June 15 to August 15 many shops and restaurants in malls such as CentralWorld and Mega Bangna will offer between 10 to 80 percent discount on their respective wares. Some malls will also host special events focused on different product ranges, such as the Sneaker Showcase (June 10-19) and Shoes & Bags Parade (July 22-31) at Terminal 21. If you have friends visiting from out of town (that is, tourists) they may also qualify for special deals. Take them to Platinum Fashion Mall, for instance, and if they spend B5,000 or more they’ll receive a free ‘Elephant Calendar. International Visa holders who spend B15,000 or more at any of the malls in the Ratchaprasong District (Amarin Plaza, CentralWorld, Erawan Bangkok, Gaysorn, and President Tower Arcade), meanwhile, will receive a B500 dining voucher.
