According to Dr.Kris Chatamra (M.D.), founder and Chairman of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation, “These breast cancer patients under our care are underprivileged, hopeless, helpless, and in pain both physically and emotionally. They belong to a group of people from rural areas. They travel to Bangkok to receive cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radioactivity without money and accommodation. The Pink Park Village bridges that gap by providing what they need. The Village is on a 121-rai piece of land in Nhong Jok Area. Currently, the compound comprises three buildings for accommodation and a recreation center staffed with therapists and volunteers. And yet the Village is far from completion hence necessitating the need for an uninterrupted flow of fund to finance the on-going operating expenses and continuing fund-raising campaigns for the remaining construction of 2 additional buildings for patients. The Pink Park Concert is a fundraising endeavor of the foundation whose aim is to finance expenses related to the Pink Park Village project in support of the breast cancer patients in their final stage. Our mission is to provide them with the best possible care to enable them to enjoy their remaining quality of life.
Dr.Supee Pongpanich, project manager of the Pink Park Eternal Love Concert, added that “I am happy that all of us have made the concert possible. This charity concert enjoys strong support from several entities, including artists and philanthropists alike. Income from ticket sales without any deduction will be donated to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation. The fund would allow the “PINK PARK VILLAGE” project to support breast cancer patients in their final stage.”
