 | BACARDI (Thailand) Co, Ltd, the importer and distributor of premium rum, recently hosted the BACARDI Legacy Cocktail Competition Thailand 2018 for the fifth time to find another local talent to compete in this year’s global competition. Mr Mitchell Kai Lum, Brand Ambassador – SEA, Bacardi said, “BACARDI is the key ingredient in some of the most famous and important cocktails in history – which continues to inspire and challenge the best in the industry to create enduring cocktails through the Legacy cocktail competition – one of the most prestigious cocktail competitions in the world. This will be the fifth year Thailand will participate in BACARDI Legacy, with three “Global Top 8” winners paving the path for new heights. The event showcased our three most-promising bartenders, Mr Noppasate (Depp) Hirunwathit making his cocktail, Nostalgia, from Rabbit Hole – Ms Pinsuda (Ann) Pongprom making her cocktail, Flourish, from Bamboo Bar – and Mr Worawut (Golf) Treewatanawong making his cocktail, Nomad, from Q&A Bar. For the first time, BACARDI will host its first BACARDI Legacy SEA Cocktail Competition, gathering the three most promising bartenders from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines – for a three-night event in Singapore. Each competitor will face off one another on Monday, February 26, to determine who will represent their country during the BACARDI Legacy SEA Grand Finals on Tuesday, February 27 at the JW Marriott, Singapore, and win one of the two spot available in the BACARDI Legacy Global Cocktail Competition to be held in Mexico City in April.
