Many celebrities joining the event includes Angelys Balek, Ploenchan and Prinya Ruenprapan, Siripaka Vacharaphol, Sittharmanin Susamawathanakun, Yuwared and Police General Sant Sarutanond etc. Unveiled in June at Masterpiece London, one of the world’s leading cross-collecting art fair, CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel’s 2018 Black Label Masterpieces, inspired by the jewellery artist’s trip in British Columbia, Canada, were the spotlight of the exhibition, earning critical acclaim from international collectors and connoisseurs. In November, the new collection made its way to Thailand. In the occasion of her visit, Cindy Chao hosted an exclusive dinner to share her inspiration and elaborated the history behind collections showcased. Cindy Chao shared that The Black Label Masterpieces are the most prestigious and exclusive creations that bears the CINDY CHAO |
The Art Jewel’s name. The collection is the ultimate expression of her savoir-faire as a sculptor and artist. Architecture, sculpture, and nature and travel are the sparkle of ideas meant to be sculpted into one-of-a-kind art jewels that are as vibrant as real life. Given the originality, innovation, and technical challenge involved in producing these creations, only a limited number of pieces are produced each year. The White Label Collection is the introduction into her world of creativity. It is perceived as a gateway through which collectors may explore and experience the founder’s vision and artistry.
Sharing the design concept with the Black Label Masterpieces, the White Label Collection’s various shapes are influenced by changing seasons, architecture, ribbons, and mysterious aquatic creatures. The collection has made dramatic statements on the red carpet at the Academy Awards, Cannes Film Festival, and the Costume Institute Gala, and is enthusiastically collected and worn by some of the world’s famous women such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Salma Hayak, Li BingBing and Charlize Theron.
In addition, she went further, “the Black Label Masterpieces and the White Label Collection are gradually becoming a sought after among connoisseurs. They were frequently presented at international auctions and exhibitions at, for instance, Tokyo Mori Art Museum, Paris Biennale, and Masterpiece London. This is the pride and honorable presence of our brand, as we are moving another step toward success.”
Cindy Chao was born and raised in the family of artists; her grandfather was an architect and her father was a sculptor. As a child, Cindy learned various techniques and skills of sculpting through watching her father carving, with his bare hands, life and emotion into his sculptures. This eventually helped her develop her unique craftsmanship style. With her father’s guidance, Cindy developed an acute sense of observation and mastered intricate sculpting techniques, and continuously strives for perfection. Given her earnestness, effort, and talent, Cindy finally established her eponymous brand “CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel”.
CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel, the modern high jewelry brand, was found in 2004, introduced with the story relayed through jewelry collection designs that combines craftsmanship, creativity and the soul of the artist into each individual creation. The evanescence of nature ranging from maple leaves at dawn in Winter, a midnight rose, or a whimsical flower in the wind is the inspiration behind each collection. Cindy pays attention to every single step in the production process starting from wax sculpting, sketching, colour arrangement, gemstone selection, and structural engineering. Each stone must be meticulously selected and compulsorily certified as DEF colorless grade and VVS clarity to ensure the upmost highest level of craftsmanship and perfection that have defined the brand.
With the philosophy of creating fine jewelry as miniature pieces of art, Cindy designs jewelry based on her life experience to bring gemstones into life that do not only present the intimate beauty and authentic value of sparkling collections, but also convince generations to capture the real essence behind jewelry art.
