Hilton celebrated its 100th year with a cake-cutting which involved all hotels across nine countries in South East Asia participating at the same time in this prestigious event on 31st May, including Conrad Bangkok, with the aim to celebrate this auspicious occasion and bring what it has coined “The Hilton Effect” to life through a series of CSR, impacting communities and environment.
Conrad Bangkok, led by Mr. Herman Ehrlich, General Manager, held a celebration in its newly renovated lobby, featuring a “Live Streaming” cake-cutting shown across the Asia Pacific region, accompanied with hotel owners, hotel executives and the longest and shortest serving hotel members. Following the cake-cutting, guests, media and hotel team members were enjoy the cakes and special snacks & beverages.
Following in the footsteps of founder Conrad Hilton, Conrad Bangkok renewed its commitment to deliver initiatives designed to protect our planet’s environment and promote sustainability in the community with a number of CSR projects, and particularly through an optimization of its operational system for a more efficient use of resources.
Aiming to raise “The Hilton Effect” to new heights and continue making a positive impact on the local community and environment, Conrad Bangkok has initiated many CSR projects such as the conservation of electricity, water and waste usage in the hotel’s “Light Stay” and “Say No to Plastic Bottles” programs. The Foodbank project donates excess food, contributed equipment and resources to local schools, and has hosted a fun and educational field trip to the Museum of Science by NSM Thailand. The hotel also donated THB 150,000 to provide children with a better future, during the hotel’s traditional Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in 2017 while 100 hotel associates participated in a major blood donation on 27th May.

The hotel’s 391 beautifully appointed guest rooms, 20 suites and 56 twins blend Thai décor, natural woods and sensuous silks in its design. Contemporary luxury and innovative technology include multi-use desk-dining tables allowing rooms to function as both work and leisure spaces, as do multiple universal adaptor connections. For a perfect night’s sleep, each guest room is equipped with a Serenity Bed™ with USB ports placed on either side. Several rooms feature a full-sized convertible sofa bed.
