‘Streetwear’ is nothing but a familiar name to fashion enthusiasts around the world.

This casual style clothing has been a global sensation since the 1990s. DAROON, a street fashion brand from Thailand, adopts the style of Streetwear and incorporate it with traditional Thai chic with a hint of international representation in its style. The concept of the brand is to combine ‘an authentic overlooked street fashion in Thailand with global interpretation.’

The new collection is developed under the concept ‘Handmade & Heartmade’ where determination and care are bestowed upon every process of the making.  Representations of Thai excellence are exhibited through every element of the brand. Each production process is achieved by Thai professionals, from designing, planning basic elements, to stitching, embroidery works, and even screen-painting. The name DAROON is also a nod to a Thai language school book called ‘Daroon Suek Sa’, written by a French priest in 1910, making ‘DAROON’ a perfect representation of the brand’s image that depicts Thai interpretation in an international context.

Traditional arts and symbols are major inspiration of this new collection. ‘Siam Matches’ uses classic portrait of the King of Nagas on a box of matches and reinterpret the art into a contemporary piece of work. Every piece in this collection screams ‘Thainess’ with its blatant use of Thai symbols such as a graphic of an elephant and famous Thai advertisements catchphrases such as ‘LUCKY’ and ‘Chokdee.’ The collection includes fashionable items such as:

Matches Box Crossover Bag is carefully crafted by Thai handworkers from the silhouette, to the screening, stitching and embroidery. Matches box has the main share in this collection and is reinterpreted into different styles with different graphics such as King of Nagas, Elephant, LUCKY SIAM, Chokdee, and Chilli.

Canvas Tote Bag made of traditional Thai flannel pieces, woven together in different patterns and then assembled together by layering and stitching. Available in various designs such as HAPPY, Siam Matches, King of Nagas, and Elephant.

The brand also offers a variety of fashionable items for streetwear lovers such as small satchel bags made with colorful ropes, chic long cap hats, unique bucket hats with strings, oversized t-shirts, vests, and raincoat sets. All made with unique touches of Thainess from a picture of King of Nagas and Chokdee (lucky) print. Keep your eyes on the first collection from DAROON and go shopping these one of a kind designs from Thai designers at Shop Absolute Siam Store, 1st floor, Siam Center.
